Nayunva woke early today. Earlier than most. Her mother and grandmother hadn't even begun to stir as she readied herself, quickly grabbing her bow and several arrows. She planned to go hunting in the nearby forest. She would save flying for later in the day. It was cool, now. Easier to run around than it would be when the day got hot.
She exited her tree, and began walking towards the forest, pausing only to wave at a few other early risers. She entered the jungle, and began to jog, inhaling deeply for any scent of the yerik. Her footsteps were light over the ground, and quiet. Not even the birds stirred as she ran by them. Soon, she noticed a tack in the ground, and beant to examine it. It was in the mud, still fresh. Probably passed about five minutes ago.
With that, she glanced at the tree next to her, and began to climb. It would be easier to shoot the beasts from above, rather than to attempt to sneak up on them through the brush. She traveled quickly from tree to tree, jumping from each long limb. A fwe syaksyuk spooked at her coming and chattered to one another before using vines to swing to other tree's.
Finally, Nayunva caught sight of her prey. The yerik were grazing calmly, unaware of the Na'vi woman. Nayunva chose her spot in the tree's wisely, laying her body along a limb so that her white hair merely appeared as the sun coming through the tree's and landing on the branch. She pulled her bow off of her back and placed an arrow delicately on the bowstring, and began analayzing which yerik to take.

This was it! He had to get the hell out of here! He had told his brother he was leaving today, or at least, his Avatar was going to be gone. Michael was able to get a few friend to help James escape and also get him ready. It was early, too early for some of the others of the colony. He helped James by getting him a large hunting bow that had been found during the first few months of being here. It was time to go. He was in his Avatar body, had left the garage in good hands and he would be back anyway once he found the Na’vi clan, or at least someone find him. He knew that he could not allow himself to leave his Avatar state until he found a safe place.
He moved quickly, his bow at the ready with an arrow that would at least give him some protection. He moved quickly, out the slightly open gates and into the jungle. He ran quickly, moving as fast as he could. He looked around, he knew he would have to bump into a Na’vi and he could only hope that they did not kill him. He wanted a family and the colony was not a family, only his siblings were his family and this was it, he was tired of it. As he moved, he came to a stop, looking at the Yerik with wide eyes. He gulped, he knew they were not dangerous, but he also knew that the Na’vi hunted them. He pulled back the string, looking at the mighty beast as they looked at him. He aimed and shot, hoping that if he got these beast, he could present it to the Na’vi as a offering to their people.
The arrow flew, hitting the closest one, which was a rather large one. He smiled, but he had to remember the words that he had to speak. He moved slowly and quietly, taking in a deep breath as he thought about the words. The beast was not dead, but he leaned over it and thought long and hard. ”Irayo Yerik… Aynga käì tok fko hu Eywa.”
He knew he was not of the people, but he knew they had traditions and he was going to learn and respect them. He also knew that there was something about Eywa that was important and that she was real. [/blockquote] ”Irayo Yerik… Aynga käì tok fko hu Eywa.” Thank You Yerik… You go be at one with Eywa (( I could not remember the exact words that were spoken in the movie, so I did my best to come up with the correct ones. )) [/blockquote]

Nayunva adjusted her body so that she would have a clear shot at one of the yerik. She placed the arrow in her bowstring when she noticed a peculiar scent on the air. It was not one she recognized. It smelled of a Na'vi, but was heavily tainted with the scent from the human compound.
One of the Aliens!
She froze, her eyes scanning for the dreamwalker she knew would appear shortly. They were dumb creatures, not knowing how to use their senses to detect the prescence of others. Suddenly, the yerik she had been aiming at fell, an arrow sticking out of it's side, and the skywalker appeared. She recognized him easily. The different number of fingers, and the unique scent. The smell was hard to miss.
She sat up fully on the branch, raising her bow and pointing the arrow at the dreamwalker. She pulled tight on the arrow, pausing, though. Should she kill the thing? So far, the colonists that had appeared had been nonviolent. They claimed not to want to hurt the Na'vi, only escape their dying world. But Nayunva had seen the scars they had left on their land. The old digsites, still struggling to bounce back from what had been torn up. And her own clan's precious hometree, now just a ruin in the ground.
But, Nayunva had a dangerous amount of curiosity. If she killed the creature, she would glean nothing from it. And, she could bring it back to the clan, allow her Tsahik to get a good look at the thing. She and the Olo'eytkan could decide whether or not an attack should be launched on the colony.
Curiousity won, this time.
Nayunva stood, and walked along the branc until she reached the base of the tree. She hopped down a few more branches, and then jumped to the ground when it was safe enough height. She landed softly, but audibly enough to alert the yerik. They made their strange sounds at her before dashing off. She, meanwhile, had her bow drawn, and arro pointing straight at the alien.
"Nga. Lumpe kem si nga za'u fitseng?" You. Why do you come here? Her voice was sharp and demanding. As she waited for an answer, she pulled her arrow tighter, and narrowed her eyes at the creature.

He knew what he was considered to the Na’vi, but at least… He could try. He just wanted to get away from those thing, he wanted to be apart of something bigger and being a part of a clan would help him do just that. He removed his dagger from the beast, wiping it clean on his own clothing and replacing it into his sheath. He looked over the animal carefully. He had been told how to skin the beast, they were like a deer on earth in a way, but with a little difference. He would have to try in a bit and then cook it as soon as possible. He cleaned the blood, tearing his shirt to put over the wounds so predators would not smell it to much.
As he started to pick the creature up, he heard something, the Yerik moved quickly and he looked up in time to see her… She had beautiful white hair, far different then what he had ever seen. He gulped slightly, he was nervous, he could not help it, even if this is what he wanted. He looked at her for a moment, his own amber eyes looking at her hard. She had a arrow pointed at him, but he did not grab his own, which was on the ground, he just looked at her. ”Nga. Lumpe kem si nga za'u fitseng?" He knew the words, but he had to think carefully to make sure he understood them completely. He took in a breath and then let it out carefully.
”I come searching for a place better then the colony I am at… I have no family but my siblings and I am tired of the life I have there… I want to be a part of something bigger, which is why I am searching for you and your people. I want to learn of your ways.”
He said to her, putting the Yerik on the ground and standing, looking at her fully and showing his hands at all time. He did not want to show any thread. ”I was hoping I could present this as an offering to you and Eywa, to show I mean no harm.” He said motioning to it slowly and looking at her, straight down the arrow shaft. [/blockquote] (( SPOKEN IN NA'VI )) [/blockquote]

The creature spoke in her own tounge. Her grandmother had told her that the skypeople learned the language and had bodies like the Na'vi to try and seem closer to them, to be more friendly. Nayunva was not sure what she felt about this concept.
He said that he came peacefully, and killed the yerik as an offering to her clan, and to Eywa. She analyzed the kill. It was a rather large yerik, probably male. It would feed many. But she remembered the stories. Jakesully had come to learn the clan ways, bt originally as a spy. What if this dreamwalker meant to do the same? To spy on her people.
"Aynga tisraw seyki leNa'vi Omaticaya srekrr. Oeykting sweylu oe spaw nga?"You all have hurt the Omaticaya people before. Why should I believe you? She stared at the creature, unflinching, her voice accusatory. Her home was destroyed because of the flame the skypeople had once brought. Now, this alien expected her to trust him?
She knew some of the skypeople had been good. They had fought alongside her ancestors in the war to drive the skypeople back to the stars. But she knew that so many more of them had come to hurt the Na'vi, to take ore from the soil to save their own planet.

James and his siblings had studied long and hard, had learned all they could so that they could speak to each other and one day the Na’vi. He knew of the stories about the people before now, they had killed many and James did not want to be apart of that. He was breathing slowly, not moving at all, just standing there. She was looking over the Yerik, which he hoped she would take to the clan. He did not want it to go to waste. It was large, he hoped it at least went to something, even if he died.
"Aynga tisraw seyki leNa'vi Omaticaya srekrr. Oeykting sweylu oe spaw nga?" He looked down at the lesson he had been taught a while back. She was right, he had not right to trust him. He nodded. ”You are right… Before, my people did and for that… There is no reason you should trust me.”
He said. If this was how all the Na’vi were, he would never get his dream of become a part of them. He set down on the ground, looking at the Yerik. ”If you will not teach me… Give me a chance… At least take this Yerik as my offering to your people and to your Eywa.” He said, standing and hoping he would at least get a chance. He looked down the arrow, down the shaft, to her eyes. She was beautiful. [/blockquote] ( Oh my Gosh! This was short! Forgive me! ) [/blockquote]

His response was not what she expected. She had expected some well thought up excuse. Blame placed on those before him, but not on himself. Yet, he was admitting what the people before him had done. There was no denial, no twisted explanation. He seemed to truly want to be apart of The People. She kept her golden gaze on him for one more moment, before lowering her bow. "Kempe lu nga syaw?" What are you called?
She was curious about this stranger to say the least. He seemed gentle enough, and submissive (at least for now). She flicked her ears uncomfortably as she waited for a response. She didn't like having her bow lowered in front of him, but he was being non-aggressive. So would she. It was respectful. Though, if the dreamwalkers deserved the respect of the Omaticaya, she was not sure.
"Why do you hate your own people so? What is it about their life that makes you want ours?" She was going to glean everything she could from this creature before she let him anywhere near the children, the people, or her leaders. If she deemed him unworthy, the choices were simple. Chase him off, or kill him.
She took one step towards him, her ears swiveling and her tail twitching. She sniffed the air around him again. She didn't much like it. If all the aliens smealt like that, it was no wonder he wanted to leave his colony so badly.
Once she was sure she had gotten a good look at him, she took her step back and continued to gaze at him. Her gold eyes did not stray for one second, although her senses kept aware, save more dreamwalkers come to ambush her.

He saw the slight surprise in her expression when he admitted to the crimes his people had done many years ago. He knew it was true, he did not deny any of it, and what was the point in denying it. The truth was in the planet, the place was haunted by the memories. He watched as she lowered his bow and he felt a lot of weight lifted off him… At least she was taking something into consideration. ”Kempe lu nga syaw?" He looked at her for a moment, making sure she had nothing more to say before he touched his chest.
”I am called James David… James for short.”
He said to her, not wanting to make her think she had to say his first and middle name all at once. He did not say his last, there was truly no reason to give the full name. He watched as she flicked her ears. He was still learning how to listen to everything around him, but he could only hope that being among the people, he would learn everything needed to be a part of them. He did not expect her to trust him completely, who would after all that had happened in the past. "Why do you hate your own people so? What is it about their life that makes you want ours?" Hate… it was not the word he would have used, but it was pretty close. He took in a breath and let it out slowly, making sure he chose his words carefully and not stupidly. ”Hate is not the word I would use… Dislike more like it… My family is broken… My family killed because of our planet and we have never felt as one with our people… Never accepted for anything, just outcast… Orphans… When I came here, I knew I was home, something told me this was the home I was looking for, so I wanted to try and become a part of your people… Of the Na’vi and find my place among you.” He said. All he said was true. He loved his siblings, more then anything and they wanted the same thing, but three people could not go missing at once, they had to be careful and precise about it. He watched as she came towards him, sniffing him. He probably smelt terrible, which was something he would not be surprised of. He watched as she stepped back again and he looked at her. Outcast.... Hmm. She knew what it felt like to be different. Her hair was tribute to that. But she had never been cast out by her own people. They accepted her. Shr flicked her tail uncomfortably, unsure of what to do. She knew her grandmother would have shot this creature on sight, if she were not too old and feeble. But her father? It was unclear what he would have done, or her mother. This alien. This, Jamesdavid, or James, seemed as though he may be true.
Hm. She didn't know what to do. He was clearly in Omaticaya territory, and the Tsahik had not yet given a stance on the humans. She glanced back in the direction that she had come from, and then back at the creature.
I hope you have strength, James. Because I am not carrying that." She said simply, pointing to the Yerik. "Leave any weapons you have here. You will not come near the Tsahik with them." At this point, Nayunva wished she had brought a Pa'li with her. It was a ways to the site of where hometree used to be, and James was sure to slow her down.
"Come, James. It is not my place to decide what will become of you. That is left for the Tsahik." She turned her back on the alien, and began to walk. "Try to keep up."
ooc: Don't worry about it. And if you want, we can roleplay the journey there, so it's not like we're jumping right into him being judged by the Tsahik.

Yes… Outcast, that was how he felt about his life most the time. He was a Orphan to his people, nothing more then a outcast with no family other then his siblings. He watched as she flicked her tail slightly, not sure it was because of him or because of something else. He looked around, trying to make sure they were not in danger. He wondered what she was thinking and he would be careful, he did not want to disrespect anyone in her clan.
He hoped he had not signed his avatar’s death sentence, he could only hope he would be given a chance. He would have to get a lot more sleep if he was given that chance. He watched as she looked back and he stood still, watching her carefully and then she looked back at him. ”I hope you have strength, James. Because I am not carrying that." He looked at it and nodded. He knelt down and picked the beast up with ease. ”Leave any weapons you have here. You will not come near the Tsahik with them." He looked at his bow, which was still on the ground. He removed his knife from the sheath, cutting the sheath and the rope that attached the arrows to him. He threw the knife on the ground.
He hoped he could come back for them one day, but if not, he would not be too sad. ”Come, James. It is not my place to decide what will become of you. That is left for the Tsahik." He nodded. He started following her, it was tough, but he did not have that hard of a time with it. He was a strong person, he was sure of it. ”Try to keep up." He nodded and moved quickly after her.
He did not like going anywhere without some form of protection, but he would have to get over it. He watched as they moved, the morning was warming up and he watched as beast started moving around them. He could not help but be amazed by it, but he did not let his thoughts go to far, he had to be honest about it, he had to be careful and he had to watch where he was going.
( Sorry… I can’t think of anything for him to say. )
