The sound of ever so soft footsteps was obscured by the steady sound of rain hitting the leaves of the flora of the jungle. Tsanten tread lightly as all Na'vi did, silently ghosting through the forest, bow and arrows in one hand, the other empty as seemed to walk with no particular hurry as if he had all the time in the world... which he did. Tsanten, one of the most sought-after Omaticaya weavers had run out of some of his dyes and like most weavers, they gathered and made their own unique dyes, the recipes for such were a closely guarded secret. Tsanten was no exception to this as he had a bag slung over his shoulder, gourd containers within to collect the plants he needed to make his dyes back home later. He knew exactly where to find these plants, as again, each weaver seemed to have their own cache that they collected from alone to make sure no one took too many plants so as not to be putting these precious plants in jeopardy.
Thus the weaver walked, and finally came to his first stop of the day, where several purple-red flowers grew as Tsanten laid down his bow and arrows so he could pull out a small gourd-bottle and special sickle-shaped knife. He knelt next to a flower and with an expert hand and gentle touch, he bent the the flower back a bit to show a sac underneath. With his knife he pierced the sac and put the bottle under it as a smelly white fluid dripped out into the bottle. It was amazing, Tsanten mused as he finished with the first flower and moves to a second, that this smelly white fluid made the most beautiful red dye. He wondered who had discovered this for the first time as he thought one wouldn't figure that out right away just to look at the stuff. Maybe it was an insight from Eywa then. After only two flowers, he moved to a whole new plant several plants away, leaving several flowers alone. One could take the fluid from them all, but that would do more harm than good to these beautiful plants, plus if he took it all he'd have nothing for when he needed it later. Thus the Na'vi way was followed in that he only took what he needed and he made a point not to take much. Engrossed in his work he didn't pay much attention to his surroundings like usual with this carefree Na'vi male...

Out of pure boredom Aynilra made her way towards the forest, the day so far boring and unadventfull. Aynilra was walking through the forest when she spotted Tsanten, probably out to do some collecting of something. At first Aynilra thought about turning around, knowing that it was rude to spy on someone who had work to be done (of course it was rude to spy on anyone working or not). But something deep down told her it would be alright, her inner child coming out. So she followed him until he stopped and she realized that he must be doing something secret, as he would propably have brought a friend if not. So Aynilra looked away, hiding behind a tree.
When she noticed that Tsanten was off focused she let her inner child just pop out. She got into a croutching position, and snuck far away from the working male. She began walking towards Tsanten's back, footsteps quiet. As she got nearer she went into her full height. She gently jumped onto his back, her arms wrapping around his neck lightly.
"Rolun nga" She said happily.
(OOC- Rolun nga means found you.)

No matter how his mother had drilled into him to pay attention to his surroundings, Tsanten wasn't the best pupil sadly and today was yet another day he payed for his folly as when Aynilra came sneaking up, he didn't see her at all. However when she latched on to him, he yelped as his special knife sliced the flower he had been working on right off, the head of the flower gone flying through the air to land on Aynilra's face.
He turned to see Aynilra as he let out a great sigh of relief, "Oel ngati kameie Aynilra..."
Tsanten twisted some to lift the flower off Aynilra's smiling face, his own expressive eyes took on a darker hue as he felt sad that he had inadvertently taken the life of the bloom. However, the look soon faded as his more well-known smile spread across his blue face as he stuck the flower behind Aynilra's ear.
"So you have found me, I wasn't aware anyone was looking," he winked at her, "What are you up to this day?"

Aynilra smiled and felt the flower that Tsanten had stuck behind her ear. It felt nice, though it was sad that she caused him the behead the flower. But he did not seem to be very mad so it made Aynilra feel slightly better. Aynilra smiled wider when Tsanten winked at her, though she hoped it was not going to upset him (though she did not know why it would). It was nice to have someone to talk to, though she did like to be alone alot. It was like a second nature for her to be alone.
Aynilra sat herself on the ground, feeling confortable at the moment. "I have nothing to do so I...kind of followed you." She gave him a weak smile, feeling slightly guilty about following him. "I think I know what you are doing. You are trying to find something for dyes, right?" She asked.

"Ah," Tsanten nodded, understanding, "So trying to glean secrets from a weaver, eh?" He teased her with a wink of a great feline eye.
He picked up the knife and the bottle he had dropped and put them back in the bag he had with him. His tail gently swayed on the ground, much like a snake slithering gently past.
"Yes, I am collecting what I need to make more dyes today, want to accompany me to my next destination? I would certainly be welcome of the company."
With that he stood up and walked over to grab his bow and arrows where he had set them down and retrieved them. He came back to where Aynilra sat and held out a hand to help her back up to her feet, his kind eyes meeting hers.
Even though Tsanten was one of the most eligible bachelors of the Omaticaya Clan, he still had yet to choose the mate and there were several rumors flying about the Clan about him due to this. However Tsanten on the other hand knew Eywa would show him the right one when the time was right... sometimes he just wished he knew what time that was...

Aynilra grabbed Tsanten's hand and pulled herself to her feet. She always liked how kind he was to her, though her mother said to be careful around him. Apparently she thought Aynilra should be more careful around men, being as she was around the age to pick a mate. Really she never gave it much thought, it never came out as an important issue. When she found love she would be happy to stay beside that person's side, though Aynilra thought it would take awhile until it actually happened.
Aynilra smiled at the thought of watching Tsanten collect things he needed. It would be fun to be in on the secret, knowing that many did not want to be watched while doing their work. Secrets were something Aynilra treasured, because they were things people gave to her with high hopes.
"Let's get busy." She said excitedly. She was ready and was hoping to have some fun. She liked to wrestle and play around, so she hoped when the work was done that could happen.

"Lets!" Tsanten said as he then smirked and punched her lightly in the arm.
"You're it!" he laughed as he then picked up his heels and ran into the dense forest around them.
He didn't run as fast as he possibly could, he was too busy stopping behind things, doubling back and then reaching out and poking her when she stopped or jumping out and going "boo!" then running away again. Essentially whatever playful behavior that Aynilra had been infected with, had now infected the master weaver somewhat as it had been a while since he had played like this. He was enjoying this semi-game of hide and seek, keeping an eye on his surroundings somewhat so that he was leading her to the next destination.
However, there was a fatal flaw in Tsanten's plan in that he was still the biggest klutz in the Omaticaya as one foot caught a root the wrong way and...
*THUMP*
Tsanten planted himself face first in the dirt!
Ow.

Aynilra loved to run around with Tsanten, even if she did not know where she was going. Really it did not matter, as she was having to much fun to care about anything besides running. Their game of tag was fun, well until Tsanten fell on his face. She gasped and ran next to him, wrapping her arms around him and dragging his face out of the mud. She could not help but laugh. For an Omaticaya he was really clumbsy.
She sat down next to him again, trying to hold back her laughter. It was nice to be all calm and having fun. Lately she had been stressed and annoyed but now she was calm and having fun. The forest always had that effect on her, being surrounded by Eywa. Usually it was better for her to be alone, easier to think without any noise. But this was better.... at the moment alteast.
"Wow. You are really clumbsy." She said with a laugh. "Thats cute."

Ow. His crooked tail twitched in the air as Aynilra danced over and laughing, helped him sit up. He sighed as he wiped the mud from his face as she looked back at her with baleful eyes.
"Wow. You are really clumsy."
"I know..." Tsanten mumbled a bit as it brought back memories of his mother admonishing him during his 'training' with her.
Considered an adult, he still had problems of a child, how could he ever seriously consider himself ready to ever take a mate? Who would want him?
"That's cute."
Tsanten looked back at Aynilra rather surprised at the last statement, "You think that's cute? Really? My mother would consider me a failure..."
He sighed again as he stood up and brushed himself off, and checked his bag to make sure everything he collected so far wasn't spilled during his spill. Thankfully Eywa was with him as all his containers were intact. He looked up and noted they were at their destination, and he nodded in satisfaction; good.
They were next to a beautiful pond, with a small waterfall spilling into it, surrounded by the lush glowing foliage native to Pandora. Here a type of snail lived, one that the syaksyuk loved to snack on from time to time. Tsanten started down the downgrade to the pond and walked to where several rocks were poking up out of the pristine water. He carefully hopped from rock to rock until he found what he was looking for - the shells left behind from a syaksyuk eating the snails. He picked up one empty shell and showed Aynilra.
"These are for making blue or purple."
syaksyuk = Prolemuirs

Aynilra stopped her laughter at his remark and looked at Tsanten. "You are not anything close to a failure I asure you." Aynilra stated happily. How could someone as talented as Tsanten be a failure at anything. His gift from Eywa proved to be amazing in the thins he made.
Aynilra smiled and followed Tsanten's trail, where he picked up something that apparently made things purple and blue. Purple was one of her faveorite colors, though she usually wore only black with purple feathers or jewelry. One day she hoped to see Tsanten do all the work, and hoped to help out. It was better to have company sometimes.
The pond was next to them, sitting beautiful and graceful. Without really thinking of the outcome Aynilra dove into the pond, a grin on her face as she became surrounded by the cool water. When she resuffaced she looked at Tsanten and smiled. "You should come in." She laughed.

Aynilra's kind words made the male Na'vi purse his lips into something of a grim smile. He wished his mother would see it that way, that as a master weaver he could contribute just as much as a hunter or a warrior... but try telling her that, ever the warrior extreme. He squatted down and picked up several more shells and shoved them into his bag rather forcefully, moreso than he intended. He sighed, but then was interrupted in his melancholy by his companion diving into the pond.
A toothy grin was all Aynilra got in reply as Tsanten put his bow and bag down. The lanky male dove into the crystal-clear water, backlit by the several bioluminescence plants that grew in the water. Staying under the water, he swam around behind Aynilra and quickly tugged on her tail, then popped up to one side of her with a splash.
"Well, I am in, so what will you do with me now?" he whispered in her ear as he then flopped back into the water, floating on his back and looking at her with a bemused expression.

Aynilra smiled and swam back under the water, a secret mission playing in her head. She often did odd things like that, playing things out in her head before actually doing them. She thought it was safer to think of every possible alternative, not wanting something bad to happen. She often went with her instinct, which did actually help with her warrior acts.
Aynilra wrapped her arms around Tsanten's waist and pulled him under the water. She swam to the bottom, arm still around him, until her feet pressed on the ground. She didn't want water in her mouth so she did not smile, though she really wanted to. Her eyes were open though, the water having no effect on them.
"I'll do whatever I want" She mouthed.

Shock and surprise was written all over Tsanten's face as the female drug him under the water. What was she doing? Trying to kill him in a game of one-up-manship? He didn't quite catch what she mouthed to him, instead he slipped out of her grasp and floated back up to the surface of the pool. The still waters were broken with a loud gasp of air as he swam to the edge of the water and climbed out.
He sighed as he was not amused by any stretch of the imagination, but he was loath to say so. It was not his intention to start conflicts over silly little things, thus he just sat there waiting for her to come up from the depths of the pool.
However as he waited, the hairs on the back on his neck started to stand on end as he slowly noticed that all the regular jungle noises were eerily silent... He moved not a muscle as his ears swiveled to the sounds of large steps being made in his direction and growling... His large eyes the only body part he moves as he saw a huge palulukan coming into view to his right and him without a way to warn Aynilra without it noticing him first and attacking...
palulukan - Thanator
