Physical Description: Narani is a petite and attractive Na'vi who stands at 9'9ft. Her figure is lithe and athletic and she is also very light-weight in Na'vi terms. This helps her move with hardly a sound when she needs to, which makes her a good scout. Her hair is dark, long and wavy and the longest curls reach her lower back. She has one long braid that protects her Queue which is swept back from the front of her hair, and runs down the middle on top of her loose curls. She likes to put flowers in her hair and sometimes braids it here and there as well. She has large, pale green eyes which look almost silver in some lights and they are edged with long black lashes. Her face is rounder than the average Na'vi, giving her a child-like appearance which her brother, Koradu, sometimes teases her for, calling her ''Little Narani''. She sometimes wears light armor, just encase she needs some extra protection and is very often seen carrying a bow and two curved daggers. On her left ankle there is a woven band with small shells from the ocean on it which was given to her by her mother.
Background: Narani's family have all descended from the Txampay'awkx clan. In the past they have favored the warrior skills and were notably hardened fighters, especially so among the clan. However, Narani's mother was a storyteller and whereas those from her father's side of the family chose mates who were gifted in the art of war it became somewhat of a scandal among them. However, her mother was also a deadly hunter, and because of this she was eventually accepted as a worthy mate. Her first child was Koradu, and the a few years later Narani was born. Narani was small as a child, and many of the clan suspected she would be too weak to survive in their harsh environment. But the stubborn nature of Narani's mother won them over, and everyone agreed for once they would help to look after the small Na'vi. Now, many of the older Na'Vi in the clan know Narani closely, as they may of helped look after her when she was younger. Her brother began teasing her for being small at a young age, while he obviously loves her very much, he still enjoyed annoying her. Her life passed without incident until she was 13 years old, her father and mother went out to hunt in the sea with a few others from the clan, but during a bout of bad storms. The clan was running low on food supplies and a desperate decision was made to try and obtain some more.
So a party was sent out on both ikran and on boats. After they had left the storm got worse, the leader of the clan began discussing with the others sending a scout to tell those who left in the boats to return. However the scouts argued that their ikrans would simply be blow off course. Unable to listen to the bickering any more in the knowledge that both his father and mother were out in the storm, and more importantly his mother was out on the boats, Koradu went straight for the ikran nest and mounted on his ikran Ehrasi. Narani begged her brother not to do this, but being as stubborn as her he ignored his sisters words and flew off in search of the boats. Narani immediately ran back to tell the leader but after she had, they all knew there was little that could be done, a group of two other Na'Vi we sent out to look for the reckless Koradu. She waited anxiously for them to return, and during the night there was a cry from the ikran nests and everyone ran to see what the commotion was. The scouts had returned from their search, and had managed to bring back those on the boats. Narani frantically searched the bedraggled hunters for her mother and then she spied her brother among them. Koradu was bleeding from a multiple cuts across his ribs and she began shouting at him as he was lead away to the healer. A cold hand rested on her shoulder she fell silent. It was her mother, who was soaked as well.
Narani hugged her, grateful that she had managed to return safely. ''Wheres father?'' she said as she looked up at her mothers face, and only then did she realize that it was tears, not rain, that clung to her face. ''He has gone back to Eywa..'' her mother had said, before trailing off and beginning to sob. The two of them were taken back by the rest of the clan to keep warm in the dry. Narani later learned that her father's ikran had been spooked when lightning nearly struck it, and her father had slipped from it's back and onto the dangerous rocks at the base of the cliff. They held vigil to morn the loss and accepted that he had gone back to Eywa in the seas depths. Narani's mother lived for another year whilst still grieving, before passing away due to illness. Narani and her brother overcame their parents deaths with time, and they both chose to honor their parents by trying to help the clan as much as they can, and follow in their own parents footsteps.
Abilities: Though she is still young, Narani is a very good shot with a bow. She has a natural affinity with creatures be they native to her clans homeland or from the forest or plains. She as a skilled ikran rider, and her light-weight frame means she can travel a lot faster than some others of the clan. She is also good at hand to hand combat, and is very agile if she gets into a small scuffle within her clan. Narani puts her heart into telling stories and singing, but she doesn't believe her clan would accept her into such a position.
Strengths: Like her brother, she is easy to get along with and very friendly even to those she does not know very well. Narani is noticeably intelligent, and she even has knowledge of a few healing plants thanks to her mother. She has a good sense of humor and loves to laugh. She is playful and generous to those she knows well, always there to offer them help. If a friend got into a bad situation, she would be the one who would back them up. She has a way with words and she sometimes engages in telling stories to younger Na'vi of the clan, or singing to herself when she isn't near any of her clan members as she isn't convinced she has a good voice. This trait for the art of the spoken word she learned from her mother, who was a singer and a storyteller, and Narani would love to be one as well.
Weaknesses: Narani has always been mischievous, and is called a 'trouble-maker' by the elders. Narani occasionally likes to play tricks on her friends, though only those she knows will make them laugh as well. She may be small but when provoked she has the temper of a thanator whose territory has just been invaded. She has a quick tongue and she can forget her place sometimes when she uses it. She sticks closely to her beliefs of what is wrong and right. And when she wants to do something, she will rarely take 'No' for an answer. This attitude can land her in some pretty difficult situations, but somehow she always manages to wriggle her way out of them.
