Name: Taronyuti'rea
Meaning : Spirit Hunter
Tribe: Omaticaya
Tribe Position: Nawma Tsamsiyu [He is trying to prove himself worthy of the position Olo’Eyktan]
Age: 27
Gender: Male Status: Unpaired as he has not yet decided on a suitable Nawma Ni'awve as his female.
Appearance: Tall, pale, lean and elegant is the only way to describe him.
He stands approximately y 11 ft 7 inches tall making him tall for his kind. His skin is luminous pearlescent white and glows eerily in the darkness and the natural bioluminescence of the night. His patterns sweep over his body, not in simple tiger like stripes but in waves, seeming to be more of a silvery bluish purple then the rest of his skin tone. These Lavender blue streaks also house most of his bioluminescent dot markings.
Due to his genetics eyes are not the classic gold of the Na’Vi but are instead a deep cyan blue with teal flecking through them and vivid pink flecks towards the centre of the iris, however this does not affect his eyesight other than the fact he prefers to be active at night in the softer light of the world, despite being able to function well enough in daylight.
His hair is cut relatively short over the top into 3 bands from front to back, often raised with the use of a colourless sap from a specific tree, the rest is normally shaved down to the skin at the sides giving him an almost triple Mohawk look, but some of the time he leaves it so long it gets long and ragged, generally in the cooler months of the weather cycle. He often braids beads and feathers into it for the sheer enjoyment of pretty things to adorn his blank canvas appearance.
War paint. He often wears black or purple paint around his eyes but from his chin line down, in a nautical compass design, he wears a vivid pink, purple and black mottled paint, bordered in an electric blue colour, which can vary between just finger prints to ornately swirled lines depending on how artistic he is feeling. His paint is based upon his Ikrans colours, as with any hunter he is closely bonded to his companion and feels it only right he wears her colours.
Clothing: around his neck is a tall ornate woven choker similar to the one the great warrior Tsu’tey wore before his brief stint as the clan leader, woven from leather and reeds and decorated with the canine teeth of the beasts he has slain, to serve as a spiritual reminder to himself that life should be respected, and the purple seed beads of one of the abundant Pandoran fruits. About his arms he sports 2 relatively simple leather bands, edged with a few soft feather down strands with a single carved and painted blue wooden bead and a single pink and blue banded feather on each. About his wrists are the leather archers bracers that shield his wrists from damage when firing his bow. These bracers are made from the pelt of a deceased palulukan, giving them that beautiful petrol blue and purple colouring. These are bordered again with the same purple seed beads that make up the beading of his collar. About his waist hangs greyish purple loincloth that hangs by 2 straps on each well-defined hip bone. From these straps hang a woven chord with blue, pink and purple beads before finally ending in a soft leather tassle.
Weaponry: He carries an un ornate curved dagger, its handle bound in leather chord, its blade a strange reddish brown knapped stone, its handle polished palulukan bone. His bow is also relatively plain. A simple wooden arc expertly strung and his arrows are fletched with the wings of the viper wasps that lurk around the chalice plants. About his thigh is a brown leather band, lined with a row of fine darts that he uses with a blowpipe that he keeps tucked into a matching strap about his other thigh. When his time comes to be Olo’Eyktan, if he is accepted and proves himself worthy, he will take the ornate weapons of his status, but until then refuses to decorate his armoury.
Ikran: His Ikran is Om’Syulang, a magnificent purple Ikran with black stripes bordered in an almost neon pink, with fiery orange and gold eyes.
Background: Despite being born appearing somewhat different from most other na’vi he was readily accepted by his parents and tribe, after all ... that past has taught them to look beyond the surface,. Tirea has always worked hard to prove his worth and that he is indeed one of his own kind. It’s not something he has had to do through necessity but through his own choice, wondering if Eywa had decided from birth he was to stand out. He grew up listening to the tales of the past sky people and how his ancestors came to their current home. These stories fascinate him greatly as the concept of the dream walkers it terrifying yet fascinating.
He decided from quite a young age that he wanted to be a hunter and pathfinder like both of his parents, and he spent long hours away from his young companions to start learning the animal paths through the forest around them, listening to the forest around him and learning to imitate its sounds as a means of signalling and in a way talking to his world.
It was also when he found his voice he started to sing rather than yell like most youngsters. He was encouraged by his mother who sang him the tales of old. Of Toruk Makto, and the battle with the sky people, the songs that Grace Augustine had taught her mother, who had attended Graces school as a young child, but the songs had stuck in the family memory.
He followed in his parents footsteps well and was recognised early on as a good potential next Olo’Eyktan. He is noted for keeping calm in stressful situations, his willingness to learn, his initiative to provide for his clan and how quickly he mastered his riding skill, especially as when he went to find his ikran. He was the fastest to seal the bond in his group despite the failure of one of those who tried before him, using his wiles to distract the creature before approaching and making the bond with relative ease.
Since then he has been a noted hunter and a good warrior when skirmishes have broken out within the clan as a method of distinguishing positions within the clan.
Abilities: Ti is an exceptional hunter, in both a pack mentality and out alone. Nearly always bringing in something to feed his people and adorn hometree He has a very good knowledge of the botany of Pandora, knowing which plants make the best toxins to coat his arrows to aid the hunt or take down an opponent. Which make for good meals out in the field, and which to avoid altogether. He has a fantastic voice, for both singing and for impersonating the sounds of the forest around him, which he will often use during a hunt or simply to wind up the youngsters at home.
Strengths and weaknesses
He will often enjoy or even seek out the company of his own kind. Normally he will seek out his own clan but on the odd occasion he will journey further afield and has been known to allow his adventurous nature lead him all the way to the tribes by the sea.
He will let others know if he wishes to be alone with a somewhat aggressive display, or simply by slinking off if it’s easier to do so. However this is not an overly common occurrence either way
He has a very adventurous nature and will often roam in search of new hunting grounds, new safe paths for his people to travel, but this doesn’t always end well as he has occasionally been known to trespass over other clan borders by accident. Sometimes resulting in a chase, other times the making of new friends and allies.
He enjoys telling good stories of his hunts or excursions or even of events in the tribes history as it’s a subject he greatly enjoys and he has a knock at telling the tales in such a way that his audiences become enthralled. He will often do this in exchange for music from his people or the friends he makes in other places. He is not a musician himself but He can sing beautifully and he has acquired a knack for mimicking the sounds of the forest around him flawlessly. Often using this while hunting with a group or as a means of talking to the world around him. He enjoys hearing others singing and any form of music extremely spiritual and soothing too.
He enjoys good company and good food provided they are his own kind and has never been known to miss either a meal or a social gathering unless away from home.
He is fiercely protective of his clan and plans to defend his clan to the best of his ability as it may one day be his responsibility. For now though he is content finding them safe paths along which to hunt, where to go to avoid predator contact and keeping them safe and supplied with food from his hunting excursions.
He is a very good hunter, as is required by his rank, rarely returning from a hunt without a fair kill. As with all Na’vi hunters he is highly spiritual to his fallen prey. He will use all part he can anywhere around the clans home, be it for decoration or food, nothing is allowed to go to waste and he passes these values on to the youngster he has taught and taken to find his own Ikran.
He is very fond of the water. A trait which has gotten him in trouble many times as a youngster but also proven advantageous as an adult as he regularly uses water systems to lose a predator if he finds himself in a scrape. He also like the water as a supply of trinkets and pretty items with ornamental potential, such as attractive stones.
He is very fond of adornments, such as brightly coloured feathers, flowers, pebbles or beads and will go to great lengths and sometimes dangerous situations to get the ones he want.
There are also times he feels the need to let his mischievous childish side out. He has a knack for winding up the youngsters and the learning hunters with the use of his mimicking skills and his amusement at practical jokes, even then though he would never do anything to endanger another na’vi and he only allows this side of him out to the surface as long as no tribe matters need his urgent attention.
